The Business Intelligence Analyst will join Community for Insights Services to continue our mission to foster a vibrant community that enables P66 to cultivate an insights-driven culture. This position will report to the Director of Community for Insights and be accountable for user support of SAP based reporting including Business Objects, Analysis for Office, and SAP Analytics Cloud and assist users in transitioning from the IT created, SAP based reports to self-service reports. The Business Intelligence Analyst will be part of the Community for Insights Services team that supports enterprise reporting and analytics needs by providing tools, licenses, community building, standards & governance, learning opportunities, technical coaching, infrastructure, tools, security, and data access.
Position can be based in Bartlesville, OK or Houston, TX.
Responsibilities May Include
Be the recognized expert for the following SAP reporting and business intelligence tools:
Analysis for Office (AFO)
Business Objects (BOBJ) reporting tools including Web Intelligence (WebI) and Crystal Reports
SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
Develop or modify reports as necessary including responding to after-hours break-fix requests for critical reports.
Assist users with transferring their work from the BOBJ environment to self-service tools, including Alteryx and Tableau, to prepare for the eventual laydown of the tool.
Provide training on self-service tools to enable users to create and manage their own reports.
Assist users in selecting the right tool for their use case by providing guidance on tool selection & use case development.
Implement governance and standards in compliance with digital standards and tailored to the specific needs of the community and the tools in scope. This includes deprecating unused BOBJ reports.
Provide training on best practices, governance, and standards to ensure the user community is aware of their requirements and responsibilities.
Create metrics and tools to enable CFI services to continue to serve the user base.
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
3 years SAP BI Suite report development experience
3 years of experience working with SAP data, including BW4HANA
1 or more years of experience managing and analyzing data
Experience with self-service analytics tools (such as Power BI, Alteryx, and Tableau)
Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Proficient writing SQL queries
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
Intermediate or higher level of proficiency with self-service analytics tools (such as Power BI, Alteryx, and Tableau)
Excellent investigation and problem-solving skills including incident root cause analysis
Ability to prioritize multiple projects, deliver on commitments, and use sound business judgment
Experience assisting new users in learning and understanding their responsibilities for complying with the company’s security and best practices
Experience training or coaching on software, especially Alteryx, Tableau, and/or SAC
Excellent collaboration partnering skills, facilitation, and influencing skills
Proven experience in an environment requiring attention to detail and organizational skills
Oil & gas experience
