The Director, Time & Absence Management is responsible for supervision and administration of U.S. Time, Scheduling and Absence Management ensuring compliance with state and federal pay and absence laws. The person in this role manages and develops the team responsible for time and absence management.
Responsibilities May Include
Apply knowledge of payroll rules, tax, regulations when working with multiple business units to ensure pay accuracy is realized through time capturing, scheduling in the system of record
Serve as Business Owner of Workforce Software system
Drive for results according to Payroll Services vision and goals
Manage leave of absence administration, ensuring compliance of federal/state leave and disability regulations, including ADA, STD, FMLA, State Leaves, Military
Partner with Legal to confirm compliance
Identifying automation opportunities and driving for results to execute in an efficient and timely manner
Ability to handle highly confidential information in a professional manner
Management of external vendors
Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with the highest levels of professionalism
Develop, mentor and provide growth opportunities for employees
Communicate regular updates to stakeholders and both verbally and in writing
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Experience with vendor/contract management
Knowledge of federal/state laws and regulations regarding pay/timekeeping and leave of absence
Knowledge of general pay practices and scheduling, including labor unions
Demonstrated knowledge of Workforce Software, Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI and MS Office Suite
Ability to drive change through technology
Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
Ability to engage, inspire, and influence people
Excellent people and team skills with the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with employees, external vendors and staff
Strong analytical and organization skills with attention to detail
