Phillips 66 is currently accepting applications for an Emerging Technology Scouting position within the Innovation & Research organization at the Phillips 66 Research Center in Bartlesville, OK. The role will be responsible for scouting new technologies and research focus areas in the broad energy landscape and will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across the corporation.
Responsibilities May Include
Working closely with subject matter experts within the Phillips 66 Research Center and other business units to understand details of processes and technologies
Monitoring technology landscape, competitor research activity, and market information
Scouting new research areas and developing recommendations for new research and development programs
Preparing research reports, white papers, or presentations on developing technology areas
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
3 or more years of experience in an industrial, corporate, or research setting
1 or more of experience evaluating companies, markets, product offerings, or technical proposals
1 or more of experience interacting with external vendors, contractors, or consultants
Comfortable engaging with internal and external stakeholders
Familiar with refining processes, renewable and conventional energy systems, sustainability, emerging technology, innovation processes
Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment and balance competing priorities through strong planning and project management skills
Experience performing technical due diligence
Experience identifying, evaluating, and leveraging broad information sources
Track record of collaboration and innovation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
