The Integration Architect position is a lead developer role that supports the overall Phillips 66 data integration platform footprint and consults across multiple IT business streams with both projects and operations accountability. The individual will have responsibility for delivery, exploration, optimization, improvement, and standardization of integration solutions across platforms while enabling IT resources across leveraged and stream IT teams to deliver reliable integration solutions.

Position can be based in Houston, TX or Bartlesville, OK.

Responsibilities May Include

  • Provide technical consulting for project teams and emergency operational support for integration platforms and solutions as a subject matter expert

  • Partner with IT teams to explore technical solutions to novel and challenging integration problems

  • Design and develop new solutions in conjunction with IT project teams according to standards and to meet the need for reliable enterprise data movement according to requirements

  • Identify and execute optimization and efficiency initiatives to improve reliability and reduce cost of new and existing integration solutions across platforms including Mulesoft, ActiveMQ, Azure Data Factory, GoAnywhere, Informatica, and AWS Lambda

  • Create and maintain onboarding documentation, training materials, and development standards for new and existing data integration technologies

  • Build and execute training programs for new developers across integration platforms and teams

  • Develop accelerator and standardization shared templates to increase solution standardization and improve the time to market for solution development

  • Create and maintain data integration patterns documentation and use cases to facilitate proper utilization of technology across the enterprise

  • Establish integration coding standards and socialize with corporate and stream IT teams

  • Evangelize appropriate utilization of integration technologies with IT teams according to integration patterns and standards

  • Generate assurance through code review and governance processes that solutions are developed according to standard and can be operated reliably by enterprise resources

  • Technical screening of supplemental and contract labor resources

  • Establish and maintain effective, collaborative working relationship with business and IT teams

Position Requirements


  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, or a related IT field

  • Willing and able to provide ad hoc emergency solution and platform support

  • 3 or more years of experience in data integration or web API solution development

  • 2 or more years of experience in any of the following data integration tool (Mulesoft, ActiveMQ, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, GoAnywhere, or AWS Lambda)

  • 3 or more years of experience in any of the following database technology(MS SQL Server, Oracle, or PostrgreSQL)

  • Familiarity and understanding of either SOAP or REST web service APIs


  • 6 months or more of experience leveraging Azure Dev Ops for agile project execution and code deployment

  • Experience with queuing technologies such as ActiveMQ, JMS, or Anypoint MQ

  • Strong interpersonal skills, around problem and conflict resolution

  • Strong oral and written communication skills - business focused and able to communicate effectively & collaborate across organization levels

  • Ability to work independently, as contributor on a team, and take leadership roles when required

  • Effective time management, work prioritization, and escalation skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Focus on commitments and delivering results
