The Senior Security Architect is a member of the Digital Cybersecurity IT organization that provides information security consultation, governance, and strategy to the business units within Phillips 66. The Architect is accountable for the development and delivery of the cybersecurity vision for the business network. This role is located in Bartlesville, OK or Houston, TX.
Responsibilities May Include
Setting a vision to deliver IT capabilities for cybersecurity that are aligned with evolving business needs.
Developing security strategy plans and roadmaps based on enterprise architecture practices.
Providing expert guidance to business units and functions for projects and complex business challenges.
Managing the innovation lifecycle and incubating new cybersecurity solutions; beginning to operationalize new services and transition support to appropriate teams.
Reducing risk of company assets by development of and execution to a common set of standards.
Regularly evaluating current state position to identify gaps and focus areas.
Prioritizing and delivering capability that improves business value.
Creating and maintaining documentation (white papers and position statements) and driving promotion of the program across the business units.
Performing and/or leading risk assessments to ensure projects (and 3 rd party vendors where applicable) including ongoing controls for secure operations.
Conducting or facilitating threat modeling of services and applications that tie to the risk and data associated with the service or application.
Providing security awareness training as appropriate to help maintain a strong security culture within Phillips 66.
Validating IT infrastructure and other reference architectures for security best practices and recommending changes to enhance security and reduce risks, where applicable.
Validating security configurations and access to cybersecurity tools.
Reviewing security technologies, tools and services, and making recommendations to the broader security team for their use, based on security, financial and operational metrics.
Participating in the maintenance and implementation of enterprise-wide information security policies, standards, processes and technical procedures to ensure sound security practices and regulatory compliance.
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
5 or more years of experience in cybersecurity positions
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or other related field
10 or more years of experience in IT
Information security certifications (CISSP or equivalent)
Prior experience in the oil and gas industry, especially refining, transportation, crude or gas trading, or marketing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
