Description
Direct the Red Line Oil lubricants brand. The Brand Director is responsible for refining brand strategy and optimizing its execution in market. This includes managing the brand’s positioning and image, working with agency partners to develop advertising that performs at above normative levels, making an efficient and effective media buy, optimizing the activation of existing sponsorship, designing awareness and volume building promotions. Work in concert with the Product Management team, Sales organization, Customers and Consumers to identify and develop high-level products with comprehensive marketing support, that enables optimum positioning in key market segments, ensures targeted earnings for product/services, optimal market penetration and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities May Include
Be the brand champion and build long-term brand equity/value
Manage brand strategy, tactical implementation and expenditures
Manage agency relationships and development of fully integrated advertising campaigns and marketing materials that can be optimized at each customer and consumer touch point
Work closely with Product Management, Sales and technical team counterparts to evaluate opportunities and develop new product concepts
Develop sales enablement materials and provide sales support through ongoing communications
Manage product packaging process with Sales and Operations
Manage and execute the annual sponsored racer program in conjunction with Sales
Oversee media relations and press release development
Manage event activation at tradeshows, races and special events
Determine and track applicable KPIs, and perform monthly analysis of brand metrics
Position Requirements
Basic/Required:
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. business, marketing or engineering)
3 or more years of direct marketing or sales experience in the petroleum or racing industry
Preferred:
Experience in high performance racing product industry; knowledge of lubricants business a plus
Communication skills: Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, to ensure common understanding with multiple levels of management and have the ability to present/influence others.
Experience executing a brand strategy in market with measurable results
Strong negotiating abilities to get efficient fee structure for sponsorships, agency fees, etc.
Financial aptitude with disciplined budget and cost management experience plus
Planning and organizational skills are required in order to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Detail oriented
Creative & Innovative – must be able to see the big picture and also work multiple details
