Phillips 66 Business Analyst, Operational Systems in Houston, Texas

The Business Analyst, Operational Systems serves as a strategic partner between key business stakeholders, technical delivery teams, IT Enterprise Architecture and Project Management Office. The vision for the Business Analyst is to understand the strategic roadmap to support and enable the business’s strategy through projects, enhancements, and operational activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collaborating and leading parts of the Ops Systems portfolio of projects, prioritize initiatives, ensure projects are prepared and executed on time and on budget, assist in removing blockers, while partnering to improve processes aligned with PMO.
Responsibilities May Include:
Define portfolio of projects, through partnership with key business stakeholders
Execute assigned projects within portfolio
Prioritize product features/requirements, aligned with business goals
Lead long range planning exercise with key stakeholder in effort to build project portfolio against planned operational activities
Ensure portfolio is executing within budget through monthly forecasting of projects, while prioritizing based on criticality
Regular updates on progress, challenges, and key decisions to stakeholders regarding product development, including improvement plans where necessary
Present analysis of portfolio, including active budget, throughput, and velocity
Establish and cultivate relationships with our business, technical, and functional teams
Provide continuous feedback from stakeholders, with plans to improve internal processes where necessary
Required Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
High School Diploma or GED
Able to balance multiple initiatives
Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, MIS equivalent, and/or experience in related field
5 or more years of experience in IT functional support, business analyst, project management, or relevant experience
Working experience with project process methodologies
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with IT and business partners
Able to work with all levels of the IT organization (leadership, technical, and non-technical)
Familiarity with IT tools such as ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, etc.
