The Corporate Insurance – Senior Analyst will report to the Corporate Insurance Manager, and with the guidance of the Director of Insurance will manage underwriting submissions for all insurance policies, assist with placement of certain policies as well provide risk management support to business units.

Knowledge

The ideal candidate has a working knowledge of property, business interruption, general liability, directors & officers, marine, and aviation insurance products and structures. Analytical skills must include the ability to model and prepare complex tools using Excel and other applications.

Responsibilities May Include

  • Leading the efforts in the preparation of underwriting submission, payment of invoices and policy wording review.

  • Conducting analytical analysis to ensure proper balance between premium and retention objectives.

  • Responsible for preparing the insurance portion of the corporate budget for insurance manager’s review.

  • Reviewing procurement contracts to ensure compliance with insurance department’s objectives and provide functional approval.

  • Managing enrollment with procurement department for Owner Controlled Insurance Program.

  • Responsible for reporting activities for captive insurance companies.

  • Preparing departmental reports.

Position Requirements

Basic/Required:

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5 or more years of insurance experience with an insurance carrier, broker or similar corporate role

Preferred:

  • CPCU, ARM or other insurance designations or continuing education

  • 3 or more years of experience managing large corporate insurance programs involving utility or energy related exposures

  • 1 or more years of experience working with captive insurance programs

  • Proficient in Microsoft office products, especially PowerPoint and Excel

  • Risk management experience

  • Ability to successfully lead projects to completion though efficient coordination of 3rd party providers and internal stakeholders

  • Refining, Midstream, Petrochemical or HSE experience

  • Contract negotiation experience

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong planning and organizational skills and excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to assist multiple activities timely and a high degree of accuracy
