Phillips 66 Organizational Change Management Lead in Houston, Texas

The Organizational Change Management (OCM) Lead is responsible for building and maintaining the Change Management strategy and best practices across projects and programs under the oversight of the Budget, Governance, and Program Management team. This individual’s focus will be establishing behaviors that create sustainable business change, supporting efforts to maintain stakeholder alignment, and educating project and program management resources. These objectives will be completed by assessing change management needs, recommending right-sized solutions and resourcing, and providing thought leadership and consistency for projects. This resource will also drive standardization and best practice sharing for change agents throughout Digital IT.

The Organizational Change Management Lead supports the BGPM controls teams by developing communications content, training materials, and stewarding engagements like COP meetings and training sessions that transfer knowledge targeted to de-risk project execution. The OCM Lead partners with Business and Project Leads to integrate change management considerations early into project definition and planning stages advises project leadership for consistency in delivery and incorporates best practices into change deployment and sustainability activities. The OCM Lead will also work directly with program leadership to craft and disseminate communications that reflect the program’s strategy, delivery progress, and performance of underlying work efforts.

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Drafting change communication for all BGPM led process changes

  • Collaborates with SMEs to develop and deploy communications and training materials

  • Provide oversite for organization educational activities like the Community of Practices

  • Work with lead to plan, organize, and facilitate strategy development and goals planning sessions

  • Build goals and strategy delivery progression reports for Digital IT Leadership

  • Develop and implement approaches to align change activities where necessary

  • Identify and assess stakeholder groups impacted by BGPM changes

  • Identify and assess change impacts through the lifecycle of the team initiatives and program

  • Advise on change and adoption risks across leadership, project teams, and end-user groups

  • Collect, edit, and submit one-liners on behalf of the Digital Innovation and BGPM organization

  • Kanban facilitation of BGPM team and management of the ADO board

  • Aligning with stakeholders to create and manage a centralized Digital IT change leadership hub or COE

  • Providing support to the BGPM resource team in assessing, interviewing, onboarding, and monitoring OCM performance

  • Provide coaching to project managers on stakeholder engagement, messaging, and change leadership

  • Complete Change Impact Assessments, Leadership Alignment Action Plans, and Communication Plan for the BGPM as needed

  • Conduct surveys, interviews, and interventions to track engagement and message comprehension

  • Integrate change methodology into the individual projects via project plans and activities as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5 or more years of Organizational Change Management experience

  • 8 or more years of proven business and/or change leadership experience

  • Experience in leading, driving outcomes, and leading business centered change in a complex environment

  • Demonstrated success in dealing with ambiguous, high change environments as the role will rapidly increase in size and complexity over time

  • Demonstrated success at collaboration across multiple projects, functions, and businesses

  • Proven ability to be an advisor to key stakeholders and leaders in a complex organization

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and apply behavioral performance improvement solutions to achieve strategic goals

  • Proven needs assessment and gap analysis skills using analytics

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external resources at all levels on a global basis

  • Demonstrated project management skills – ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and priorities

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain vision of “big picture” strategies in design and development solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate, identify, and plan for obstacles or barriers to learning solutions

  • Proven ability to deliver against deadlines with multiple stakeholders in a rapidly changing environment

  • Business fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven influencer within the business with a track record for driving outcomes

  • Proven experience managing the execution of complex large-scale change

  • Experience managing change in a cross-cultural/global environment

  • Surveying tools, execution of assessment, and implementation of results experience

  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry ​​​​​​​
