Phillips 66 Process Control Network Lead in Houston, Texas

The Process Control Network Lead will report into the Refinery Business Improvement Organization. This position will support the downstream business units in the areas of refinery industrial control systems, process control, human machine interface, human factors, alarm management, and managing relationships with key vendors. This position provides leadership, technical expertise and ownership of process control activities across Refining and guidance for the Process Control Network (PCN).
Responsibilities May Include
Leading and promoting the Process Control Network across the company to enhance knowledge sharing through participation on technical networks, project reviews, and technology evaluations.
Leading and promoting the development of Required Standards, Refining Engineering Practices (REPs), Directives, Best Practices and Guidelines.
Developing and communicating key performance indicators to drive profitability and continuous improvement in the areas of automation and advanced applications.
Providing expertise in the design and implementation of Industrial Control System Networks.
Facilitate the identification, development, sharing, and implementation of training for process control support roles.
Participating in vendor advisory board meetings and technical standards committees
Participating in the development and execution of vendor Master Software License, Maintenance and Service Agreements, supporting contracts and preferred supplier agreements.
Ensure that all Refining Business Units are informed of and are addressing Process Control System technical advisories and alerts (e.g. Honeywell Be-Aware Advisories)
Work in conjunction with the Refining Cybersecurity Lead and Director ICS Network Support and Cybersecurity roles in the identification and implementation of leveraged services between IT and ICS.
Participate in Field Instrument Network (FIN) and Refining Cybersecurity Network (RCN) in Process Control related activities and workgroups
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or Science
Maintain a valid driver’s license
10 or more years of extensive experience with Honeywell control system equipment, preferably Experion
10 or more years of experience with instrumentation
Knowledgeable in Process Control Configuration practices and methodologies
Knowledgeable in Ethernet networks, network topologies, communication protocols and information management systems (PC’s, firewalls, switches, routers, servers, operating systems)
Ability to maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the US government
Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point and ability to present information in a graphic format
Knowledgeable of the Emerson DeltaV control system
Knowledgeable in control room ergonomic and human factors designs
Knowledgeable in Alarm Management
Knowledgeable in HMI design and Application
Knowledgeable in Process Control and Advanced Process Control
Knowledgeable in ISA and other Industry codes and standards
Able to accurately and clearly communicate both technical and practical information
Desire to learn, strengthen and build skills, and keep up with process control and instrumentation technology
Ability to work independently as well as work in a diverse team-based working environment
