Description

Phillips 66 Corporate Communications is hiring a Social Media Lead to direct social media efforts for the corporate brand. Reporting the Manager of Brand and Digital Communications, this leader owns the design, development and deployment of all social content and campaigns – plus omnichannel extensions that extend the reach of messaging both internally and externally. This leader will be engaged at virtually every level of the organization to drive a compelling narrative supporting the company’s vision: Providing Energy. Improving Lives.

The Social Media Lead will set and lead the corporate brand’s overall social media objectives and oversee the creation and review of social media content as well as efforts around comprehensive analytics to assess and inform the company’s approach to social channels.

Responsibilities May Include

  • Developing social media strategies that drive corporate awareness and reputation

  • Possessing passion about the intersection of brand and digital communications with emphasis on short form storytelling and engaging “snackable” content

  • Building audience growth and engagement across social channels

  • Driving the integration of social media platforms and phillips66.com

  • Maintaining a unified brand voice across social channels with a keen eye for creative excellence

  • Assessing demographics to assess and target key audiences for the corporate brand

  • Building and maintaining a detailed social media calendar

  • Developing and maintaining client-agency relationships, timelines and work agreements

  • Coordinating social media activations with business objectives

  • Analyzing, reviewing and reporting on effectiveness of all social media activity

  • Driving innovative solutions for clients with insights from social listening via Sprinklr

  • Translating website and social performance data into actionable insights leading to optimization across platforms and processes

  • Leading monitoring efforts and online crisis support

Position Requirements

Basic/Required:

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, or Communications

  • 7 or more years of experience working as a social media strategist or other relevant experience

  • Passionate about the Social Media landscape and constant iteration to stay ahead of trends

Preferred:

  • 7 or more years of experience in social media at a major company, organization or agency

  • 2 or more years of experience in — or substantial knowledge of — the oil and gas industry, manufacturing or B2B

  • Knowledge of Houston as an energy hub

  • Comprehensive understanding of LinkedIn best practices for B2B marketing
