This role is responsible for representing UKM’s light oil products inland demand and pricing interests. Through working with the Supply, VC&O and Production Planning Teams this team ensure that we’re able to meet our Sales Targets and optimise inland placement. Including the Wholesale and Retail pricing strategies that assist the business in maximising earnings.
Supervision of the Pricing and Demand Leads - including goal setting, performance and development reviews. Develop and retain talent through feedback, coaching and career planning.
Motivates, guides, and mentors the above to ensure they are able to perform their roles/functions in a manner that is consistent and satisfactory to internal and external customers, while meeting the business needs of UKM and the wider P66 business as appropriate.
Responsible for recruitment of new team members.
Accountable for meeting or exceeding Team Specific (Spot / FFP) and UKM wide (Wholesale and Retail) volume and margin targets.
Lead; through appraising and market referencing – UKM’s contribution toward the Material Specific Volume element of the LRP.
Lead Terminal Proposition activities and meetings.
Providing guidance to the Pricing and Demand Leads on how to use volume availability and pricing strategies to optimise product placement and maximise earnings.
Lead the development of new pricing strategies and methodologies that maximise earnings and receive buy-in from the business.
Work with the Demand Lead, Supply, Sales, VCO, HOR and London Commercial to optimise between forecasting and maximising sales whilst controlling availability and identifying the best alternative to import/purchase product when sales forecasts are above HOR’s production capability.
Work with Supply, Strategy and Business Development to overcome infrastructure constraints and secure growth opportunities.
Continue to expand and refine the scope of the demand and pricing functions so they become an integral and value-adding part of the business.
Promoting cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Gathering of market and internal intelligence through research, data appraisal and networking.
Ensuring all new system developments created to support the pricing, allocation and/or forecasting functions are economically viable, fit for purpose and increased automation and enhance performance (working with AE66 to this effect).
Work with Finance on the reporting requirements and enhancements needed to increase and evaluate the effectivess of the demand and pricing functions.
Ensuring awareness of and adherence to business controls, compliance requirements and HSE expectations.
Providing primary cover for the Pricing and Demand Leads.
Providing out of hours support when required.

Phillips 66 has significant marketing operations in Europe. In the UK the business is primarily wholesale, selling fuels to distributors (some of whom are branded JET) and resellers. The fuels are either collected by customers or delivered through a contracted road tanker fleet operating out of a number of UK distribution points. In addition, Phillips 66 Limited supplies a network of approximately 330 independently owned petrol forecourts, all of which are branded JET.
Other markets served are aviation, marine and LPG. JET supplies some of the UK's growing secondary airports using owned and shared refuelling tankers and storage, and delivers to airlines through contracted refuelling operations. Marine markets are served using contracted vehicles, as is the LPG business.
