The Contracts Associate Placement Student will work as part of the UK Procurement team supporting sourcing and contracting processes for Refining (Humber Refinery) and Marketing (JET retail and wholesale) operations in the UK, to assist in the implementation of specific functional goals and to provide the focal point for transactional procurement and contracts support.
*For the duration of this placement you will be employed by On-Line People*
Responsibilities May Include
Responsibility for a small portfolio of materials procurement and or service contracts
Responsibility for Procurement Card controls – review spend and compliance with Policy
Point of contact in Procurement for ECM (Enterprise Contractor Management) on boarding and training working with Finance
ERP system (SAP) training provider for business in procurement process and focal point for procurement systems onboarding and staff training
Creation of the price files to load into SAP system to operationalize contracts to achieve rate validation for materials and services invoices and maintenance of this if contract pricing changes.
Running Business Assurance control reports ensuring compliance with Internal Control Standards and Procurement Policy
Collection reporting of cost savings generated by the team
Ad hoc project work as directed
Ad hoc routine procurement work in support of the larger team
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Studying towards a degree in relevant business or law related subject

The Humber Refinery is located on the east coast of England in North Lincolnshire, United Kingdom, approximately 180 miles north of London. Humber's facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, hydrodesulfurization, thermal cracking and delayed coking units. The refinery has two coking units with associated calcining plants, which produce high-value graphite and anode petroleum cokes. It processes crude oil supplied primarily from the North Sea and includes light, low- and medium-sulfur and acidic crude oil. Humber produces a high percentage of transportation fuels. It is the only coking refinery in the United Kingdom, and a major producer of specialty graphite cokes and anode coke. Approximately 70 percent of the light oils produced by the refinery are distributed to customers in the United Kingdom by pipeline, rail car and truck, while the other products are exported to the rest of Europe, West Africa and the United States.
